The protocol
Four phases, counted from your logs.
GutSync keeps the calendar. You just eat and log.
Three ways it can end.
- Confirmed
- Symptoms dropped without it and came back with it. Now you know.
- Cleared
- Nothing moved. The food you’ve been avoiding is back on the menu.
- Inconclusive
- GutSync tells you exactly what it needs and keeps going.
See one play out
A dairy case, start to finish.
Scored on day one. Closed with a verdict on day 19.
Two ways to run a case
Challenge protocol
A guided elimination with a planned reintroduction. The strongest evidence on the shortest clock.
Observational
No diet changes. Keep logging as usual and the case scores each new day in the background.
Name your suspect
A food, an ingredient, a habit. One tap drafts the trial: what to cut, for how long, and what counts as evidence.
It runs itself
No study forms, no extra check-ins. The case reads the entries you already make and sets aside any day that can’t count.
The verdict lands
Confirmed means you finally know. Cleared means a food you feared comes back to the table.
Why they stall
Where elimination diets usually go wrong.
Four ways they fail. GutSync fixes every one.
How GutSync works
Four steps. You only do the first.
You tell it what you ate. GutSync does everything else, around the clock.

Two to six weeks without the food is typical, then a planned reintroduction. GutSync’s single-food trial takes about 3 weeks: 14 clean days, 3 days of reintroduction and 3 of washout.
Your top suspect. The usual ones are dairy, wheat, garlic and onion, beans, caffeine, alcohol and sugar alcohols. GutSync ranks your suspects from your own log, so you cut the right food first.
Bring back one food for 3 days and keep logging. GutSync tells you when to start, then weighs those days against your clean ones and delivers the verdict.
Nothing is lost. GutSync sets that one day aside and the count picks back up the next day.
GutSync runs one trial at a time so the answer is clean, and watches your other suspects in the background while it runs.
No. GutSync can find triggers in your normal weeks with zero diet changes. A trial just gets you the verdict faster.
Yes. Test one FODMAP group at a time and GutSync runs the elimination, reintroduction and washout from your logs. Use it with your dietitian’s plan.
Cutting one food for a few weeks is low risk for most people, but check with your clinician first. Never reintroduce a food that caused a serious reaction, and get tested for celiac before you cut gluten. GutSync won’t run a trial on a food that’s caused hives, swelling or trouble breathing, or on a medication.
